Commercial Properties
Royal Vista Professional Center
Royal Vista is a commercial mixed-use project in Calgary’s vibrant northwest sector. The buildings are comprised of three steel-frame commercial office buildings, ranging in height from single storey to three storeys. Parking stalls, paved driveways and landscaped areas surround the building’s footprints. The buildings house a combination of businesses, including commercial offices, CRU spaces and restaurants.

Parika Bazzer
Palika Bazaar, named for its inspiration in New Delhi, is a 30,000-square-foot two-story retail center in Edmonton’s Griesbach neighborhood. A CRU development, the complex offers tenants bay sizes ranging from 1,300 square feet to 8,000 square feet. The new build construction employed the concrete tilt-up building model and EPDM roofing. Carlson was involved with all aspects of the new build, including excavation, soil cement stabilization and site work. The development includes an elevator to provide access to the new daycare facility on the second floor; a rooftop patio; landscaping; and a parking lot.

Office Building
Sherwood Park Volkswagen Office
The Volkswagen new-car dealership project in Sherwood Park, owned by one of Carlson’s long-term clients Auto Canada, is comprised of 70,000 square feet of building space on a 140,000-square-foot site. Two stories tall with curtain walling included, the building includes a sales center and 21 service bays, as well as an underground parkade. The large site provides 450 outdoor parking stalls. In late 2009 the facility earned accolades from Volkswagen Canada—the VW representative from Germany attended an extremely thorough inspection and commented that this project was one of the best builds in North America that he had witnessed.
